Safety Information
> Ensure two squares of Velcro are overlapped before assisting patients indicated by the word ‘minimum’ on the SallyStrap®
> Before assisting patient, be sure chair / bed / stretcher / trolley is securely locked
> The Safe Working Load is 150kg
SallyStrap® Instructions
1. If patient is sitting, lean patient forward in chair to enable strap to pass behind and be brought around waist like a normal belt
2. Secure as tightly as possible without being uncomfortable ensuring the belt cannot slide up or down the patient. Ensuring at least 2 Velcro sections are overlapped. If using the small belt, switch to the large if two Velcro sections cannot be overlapped.
Note* Watch when securing on female patients ensuring belt sits under the breasts as may cause discomfort and slide off the patient
3. Use SallyStrap® to guide patient movement when standing and walking to enable a stronger grip on the patient. SallyStrap® should not be used to lift a patient i.e. sit to stand or carry a patient when walking.
